Immersive web · UI engineering
Metus.
An immersive storytelling website following whey from cheese production and disposal to its potential recovery as protein and animal-feed ingredients.
The story behind the interface
Metus needed a way to make its venture story tangible. The website traces a material that is easy to overlook—whey—and connects its origin in cheese production with the possibility of recovering value from it.
Five scenes, one continuous narrative
I built five scroll-controlled scenes that guide visitors through cheese production, whey disposal, and its potential recovery as protein and animal-feed ingredients. Scrolling sets the pace of the story and controls how the next scene is revealed.
The experience I built
Animated 3D visuals, smooth camera transitions, and bold typography make the process understandable as a sequence. The interface is responsive so the same narrative can be explored across different screen sizes.
Creative engineering
The website is built with JavaScript, Three.js/WebGL, and Tailwind CSS, and deployed on Vercel. My contribution is the storytelling website and its UI implementation; the experience presents the venture’s proposed material-recovery story.
How it comes together
- Origin
Introduce whey through its place in cheese production.
- The problem
Follow the narrative into disposal and the lost opportunity.
- Recovery
Show the potential to recover protein and animal-feed ingredients.
- The interaction
Connect the five scenes through scrolling, 3D animation, and camera movement.
